If it's a HIGGINS (I've never heard of Huggins) then it's a JC Higgins which was a SEARS brand that was replaced by the Ted Williams brand. They were made from 1908 until 1961.

Generally, with it not being a MAJOR brand (Reach, Ken Wel, Rawlings, Spalding) it will knock the price down some, but being a HOFer model (Mel Ott) should add some value as well.

Do you have pictures you can post to help date it?
