Re: Is this a baseball pennant?
Hi Everyone,
I'm going to try to not hijack the thread, but I was just wondering if anyone has any last minute suggestions for antique malls or other baseball shops in either Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, or Kansas before I leave next Saturday for Colorado. I'm more of a bat guy, but I could always use some nice baseballs display items like the pennant that was found very inexpensively.
I'm planning on hitting the large antique malls in Omaha and Lincoln, but if anyone has any other suggestions I'd be open to hearing them.
Email me at t_byington@yahoo.com. Thank you to those that gave me suggestions. I'm planning on checking those out as well.

Originally posted by mjkm90I don't think it's baseball related. Although, if I were an Oriole collector I would want it because the look. Almost all team pennants that don't have the name of the team will have a baseball graphic of some sort. Age on pennants is a bugger at times. It doesn't look pre 1950 to me however based on the look of the felt. Older pennants usually have puckering of the felt and fading even if kept out of the sun.
I agree they look more like Pennants with just city names on them. These seem that, they were tourist souveniers. Seems like as you said someone who visited different areas picked these up as souveniers.Comment
