I picked up this small group of memorilia at a local estate auction. Football memoribilia is my forte, so I don't know much about dating/etc these items. I think doing the research is the most fun part of collecting memoribilia but I don't know where to start.
The three items and my questions about them are:
1. A vintage baseball glove. It is marked on one area with "Gripper Pocket.. and marked in a different area with something difficult to make out: Inner Grea-----. I can't find a maker anywhere.
Can anyone help to give me an approximate date on this glove?
Where would makers marks typically be?
Any idea on value?
2. A pair of smaller gloves each having a Spalding button. The picture shows one but I have 2. They are cloth on the top, and leather on the finger areas and palm areas.
What do you think these were used for? They were stuffed in the glove but do you think they are baseball or golf or ?
Does the spalding button help date them?
3. Last, a pair of Wilson gloves. Not sure what these are for. Are they older Boxing gloves or something? They are marked Wilson H1530
