This bat was manufactured to commemorate the 1979 All Star Game (50th playing of the game). Players whose names can be seen in the pictures who were selected for the game include Lefty Gomez (Honorary AL Captain), Roy Smalley, Graig Nettles, and Jim Kern. Kind of a niche piece for All Star collectors, and often seen in individual player collections who were selected for the game. This was the first time (only time) Nolan Ryan was named as the starting pitcher for an All Star squad, and Dave Parker was named MVP, so this bat would have appeal to Ryan and Parker fans as well. Approximate value in the $200.00 to $250.00 range.
