    Vintage Cabinet Photo

I was wondering if any of the uniform experts could give me a hand with this one. I picked it up on Ebay not noticing that the players were wearing numbered uniforms. From what I can find the first team to try this idea was the 1916 Cleveland Indians. It seems that this team photo looks to be earlier than that, even by the style of belts they are wearing. Any help on this would be appreciated

Great photo. Those are very sharp uni's on the fellas. The pro's didn't use numbers until Yankee Stadium was built, but I don't know about town teams. The athletic belts could be from 1900 on, the gloves look early teens and the colared shirts could be from 1900-1920s.

Looks circa 1905-10 to me looking at the gloves. What color is the mount?

Unfortunatly the cabinet was trimmed downm but it was a light olive green colored mount. The glove in the back row is a crescent heel if you look close enough.
