Here's a 1987 Don Majkowski Packers jersey with the "crown" tag. Also used by QB Willie Gillus for the "strike" games. Even though they've been removed, you can still see where the different NOBs were located.

Not trying to disagree. I would like to know for sure. Did the '87 Packers use nameplates or have the NOB sewn on directly?

The names were screened on a nameplate which was sewn on.
