The jersey in question is a size 48 not a size 40.

The jersey in question obviously did not originate from Steiner as already discussed, but to clarify MBenga28's question, not all Yankees jersey had year tags this past season. I had several of the pinstripe jerseys from the set authenticated after the last regular season home game and I think only 2 had a year tag. That said, those particular jerseys had MLB and Steiner Authentication so the lack of a year tag was not all that alarming - much unlike the AROD being discussed here.

Looks like the jersey is re-listed with the Steiner hologram removed:

Judging by the size (40), I would say that is a bat boy used jersey.

why blanks, can't this seller be buying real game lightly used jerseys with numbers taking off the number and recustomizing it.

the problem I have are the shops who do customizing. they are the ones who should be called out. didn't the NFL lock down on some stores from customizing jerseys, baseball basketball and hockey need to do the same.

The answer to the blank jersey question is as follows. We haven't recevied blank jerseys from the Yankees for years. Can't remember the last time we had them, so in this case this is not the issue. I posted this to alert potential buyers. Yes its a concern, yes I'm pushing for the number hologram system to work on the website. FYI 2010 Issued jerseys will have a distinct marking that Game Used will not. So I'm aware of the issues, I'm aware that people are beating the system and I'm working hard to get things in the right direction. If you want to ask any other questions call me 888-265-9298.

No, I am not the seller of this jersey. I was curious as to why Steiner sells blank team issued jerseys that are not marked or labeled as blank and whether or not they are culpable in the jersey that was being sold. If the problem in the industry is that people are creating jerseys out of blanks, how can Steiner go after them if they provided the blank?

Maybe Steiner should try to figure out who this guy is! Is it really that difficult?
I am wondering if the hologram matches to a blank issue jersey or a Arod team issue jersay. It doesn't seem that a blank issue would have a 'C' tag or would it.
