Harry Bright's career year came in 1962 when he hit 17 home runs for the Senators. In 1960, the expansion Senators traded Bobby Shantz to Pittsburgh for Bright and 2 other players. In 1963, Bright, a member of the New York Yankees, was the final out of Game 1 of the World Series. He struck out to give Sandy Koufax 15 strikeouts in the game.
