Items for Sale: Bring it Back

Now that I have paid for my auction item, please, please bring back "Items for Sale" category. I'm willing to pay for it.

I've paid a couple of bills with quick sales and met some really nice people. Ebay is okay but very cumbersome and full of phonies. I've bought some wonderful items thorugh you -- the centerpieces of my collection.

I don't check the GUU as often and I don't see as many check-ins as I once did. And I'll bet it's because of your wonderful "Sale" category on hold.

Please give it consideration, at least until you decide how to refine it. What would the harm be?

Dave - I'am with you. Bring back the "For Sale" section.

When the forum was established, there was a "For Sale" section. I guess someone thought it was a good idea. So, why change it now?

The "For Sale" section had as much to do with the success of the forum as did the discussion sections.

I'll THIRD that. I love everything about this site, but it's been months now without the FOR SALE section and the site is lacking without it. I'll pay a fee too-no problem. We were told that a few weeks after the auction was over we'd have it back on here? It's been over a month. Is it really that difficult? I'm really asking that-I have no idea what it takes.

I agree. Bring back the for sale section. This is a major reason I became a member of this forum.

I also miss the "items for sale" section. I especially would like to see it back soon since I still have no job and no money for Christmas gifts for my family, so I need to SELL SELL SELL

The auction has been over for a few weeks now. While the new system is being set up, I think the "for sale" section should be open. I was all for it being closed while the site owners tested the GUU auction. Now, its over. Seems folks are getting PO'd. I don't use the for sale section, but Eric put it on the original forum from the start. Forums come and go, let's not wait for gameusedforum to become defunct. However, if you folks are tightwads who can't afford eBay fees or are trying to use this forum to unload suspect crap...to Hell with you. By the way, you don't have to be a cry-baby and pout and not participate in the game used discussions cause you're a pouting cry-baby. It's still open season to learn about sports junk.

Hello Everyone,

As we discussed earlier, we will be rolling out an upgraded 'Items for Sale' area of the site soon. For an update on the status of the new platform, here is a link to a post I made earlier today in case anyone hasn't seen it already:

In the interim, we have discussed things internally and will temporarily put back the previous 'Items for Sale" forum by tomorrow. The old "Items for Sale" forum will remain open until the new platform is released, likely in late December. This will allow people to buy and sell during the holiday season while we make the finishing touches on the new system. We will make an announcement when the new platform is ready at which point the old 'Items for Sale' forum will be permanently closed.

Do you have a fee established at this point for the items for sale section? I will be taking advantage of the service however I would like pay the fees involved while the new section is being established. Please feel free to email me with the specifics/info.

I tried looking back to see how long it was for the "For Sale" section to come back up and couldnt find how long it took.

Will it be back up as it was in the past, or is this when the new version is going to be put into place.
