I've managed to collect four of Mark's Diamondbacks bats, and gotten them signed - two from '01, and one each from '02 and '03. One of the '01 bats is a much-used post-season bat ('MG 01' on the knob) for which I paid a pretty penny; the others were in the 200-300 $ range.

Ironically, a Scott Service DBacks bat is one of the things I'm looking for. I've got one of his Reds bats, but that's as close as I've been able to come.

It's been a lousy month. This is my only September pickup. Slow day at The Holiday Inn.

Seller said that the bat is uncracked but then again he may not really know how to tell. Grace has always been on my list as one of my favorite bats that I wanted to pick up if the price was right and this time, it was. Nice bat from a semi-star who never really got the appreciation he deserved. Grace was a 3 time all star, lifetime .303 hitter over 16 seasons, had the most hits in the 90's (41 more than Gwynn), 4 gold gloves, and won a World Series in 2001. Grace and Pete Rose are the only 2 players to lead a decade in hits and that are not in the HOF.

Do the marks in these photos match the ones on your jersey?
Thanks for looking it up for me. The team repair is located right where I put the circle. You can't see a rip in the picture, but I would say that it looks like a mtch. What do you think?

I bought it off a board member on extremeskins.com. He bought it from PSI and had is signed by Portis. I almost paid $1800.00 for an unwashed one last year that was used during the Jacksonville OT win, but got this one for much less and it has great wear.

I was fortunate to pick up a Rick Ankiel game-used bat from the Cardinals Authentics Store at the stadium. As you probably know, Rick debuted as an outfielder on 8/9 after a career as a pitcher (and a long, improbable climb back through the minors, which was hampered by injury). Rick hit a HR that first game and then hit two more on 8/11 on a nationally televised game. Based on the handle tape pattern, I think my bat may be the one he used in those games.
