Neither am I, as evidenced by the fact that I have bats from Sam Horn and Jim Traber. Along with Randy Milligan, Horn and Traber are part of my burgeoning "game used bats from ex-Orioles first basemen who had gigantic asses" collection.Comment

Re: What item(s) have you been waiting forever to surface?
some pretty interesting items so far. it's good to see that it seems a lot of people are playing the waiting game for years. for awhile it seemed like everyone around me was finding everything they wanted except me.
a few years ago, lelands auctioned off a garvey dodgers jersey and an early 60's uecker bat.
i notice most of the items in this thread are 15-30 yrs old. with the notable explosion in the supply of current pieces, i wonder if in 20 yrs collectors will have similar difficulties in finding things or if the huge supply of today will mean that it'll be easy to find most anything even in 20 yrs. there seem to be enough arod, manny and ortiz jerseys to easily last for the next 50 yrs.
howard: good story about those portland beavers pieces. i can't believe you finally got them after 25 yrs of waiting. you sound pretty confident you'll get the tiant pieces. i wish i shared your optimism for the pieces on my list. i have a hunch i'll never see a 1990 or 1991 olerud home gamer. but who knows.. maybe i'll be lucky enough to post my own "after 25 yrs of waiting, i finally got it!" story. i'd only be 57 yrs old too.
i also have a hunch that 80% of the items in this thread are sitting in storage lockers or players' attics.

Any Willie Horton 1981 Beavers jersey...wait, Howard's got them all!
A 1970's Sacramento Solons, Tacoma Tugs, Ogden A's or San Jose Missions PCL jersey. Have found Salt Lake Gulls, Phoenix Giants and Tucson Toros in recent years, so am hopeful. Wife, on other hand, hopeful that I don't find them...Comment

Mark McGwire 1997 home or road A's jersey with team LOA, batting cage jacket, and or helmet, and toppers is his 3rd base glove that was on Lelands a few years ago.
Alson a Jason Hart game used Sacramento Rivercats jersey or his Rangers jersey he wore during his only stint in the majors.
I'll find them one day...waiting stinks, but I'll have the resources to get them.
