Dave Kingman: 26 regular season game used bats/3 All-Star Trophy bats/another 10 or so verying store models.

I'm up to 12 Thomas bats and might be getting another two if the deal goes through. I've focused on obtaining atleast one of each type of bat that he swung and am now thinking about focusing on obtaining one from every year that he played in the bigs. Its a shame that I got into collecting GU items at the end of Big Franks career as I have A LOT of catching up to do!!!!

I currently have 5 Pierzynski bats. 4 LVS and 1 Marucci; 1 Twin - 1 Giants - 3 White Sox. Im still looking for a 05 World Series, All Star Game (02 and 06) and a rookie

That was really funny joe,i laughed out loud when i read this.Believe me i want to take your advice.Its not a thing of not wanting to take some swings with that bat,as i want to every time i walk by it.I just can not get myself to do it for some odd reason.I guess it might be the same as people wearing game used jerseys.I don't understand why people would do that.As i would want the last person to have worn that to be that player.But i guess that can only happen if the player gives you the item directly to you.I mean my whole family and friends and my sisters family at christmas have all taken swings with it.I am the only one that has'nt.Heck i have not even touched the handle of it,as i took it out of the tube by the barrel.I think how great it is to have a bat that giambi used.So it would be great to swing the bat.I will swing the bat.....maybe

SWING THAT THING!!!

Not a day goes by where I don't swing one of the 50+ bats in my basement.I can't help it...I'm like a kid in a candy store!!!!

Oh i am hooked joe thanks to you.But i am the only one in my family that has not touched the bat.Even my mom took some swings with it.And at christmas the bat was the star of the show as i was bringing people down to my yankees corner in the basement and showing it to them.And my nephew lucas who is a big twins fan was blown away about it.But anyway,yeah the thought that giambi used this bat and maybe even hit a home run with it makes me very happy just looking at it.I know you are proberly getting tired of me talking about it.But i will never be able to thank you enough for it.I know its just one bat but to me its much more than that.

For me,it was a signed,cracked Giambi A's LVS H238 that I think I got for like $99 at the end of '04.Ah,memories...

since my original post , in this thread, i have added a couple more.

currently at 28 Ray Lankford bats.

hope to add a couple more this year. 2009 was a very bad collecting year for me.
