always looking for Detroit Tiger world series player bats......game used 2006 & 2012 world series items....Quintin Berry bats....also interested in Ivan Rodriguez bats... Thank you, Dale tigers1984@comcast.net
Jacoby Ellsbury 2008 game used Red Sox batting helmet from Steiner Sports, MLB authenticated and photo matched to several game pics, including his 50th stolen base of the season and the ALDS & ALCS series.
oops, I guess I jumped the gun on the Soriano helmet thread. I will get my pics up after I get a photomatch. There are some really nice helmets on this thread!!
I will take photos with in a day. But i have three game used helmets. Robinson Cano game used(unknown year), Tony Gwynn game worn helmet from 1998(used to hit a homerun) and a Chris Chambliss game sued braves helmet.
Excuse the newbie question....but do you work for Steiner or MLB.com? I only ask because it appears the exact (identical) Jacoby helmet you have is currently up for auction on MLB.com auctions via Steiner. The marks on the bill and the marks above the flag on the back matc up perfectly.
Just a nore for the nay sayers....I am not making any hidden accusations. I am simply wondering how this can be possible and if Gameused is aware of this. Perhaps MLB used the same pics for multiple auctions, but I find hat unlikely.
Anyway, any help clearing up my confusion would be great.

Mr.3000,
Not affiliated with either. Steiner had only one GU batting helmet of Jacoby from the 2008 season that I know of.
I seen that Jacoby helmet on MLB.com weeks ago and it was also available thru the Steiner website, I guess Steiner Sports did not inform MLB auctions that the Jacoby helmet has already been sold.

Bobby,
I thought it might have been something like that. Perhaps you could contact them and inform them that you own the helmet they have advertised in the auction.
For an opening bid of $1,000 I would hate to see someone win it, then go through the hassle of finding out they won't be getting it, have to wait for a refund...etc and so on.
