Bobby Basham
(Glove from first pro win or pro start. Can't remember which one. Also have the cleats from his first pro start)

Re: January pick-ups
I just got my holy grail item in the mail today. Its a black Reebok Frank Thomas game used glove. This style it seems was used from 97-99. The glove shows great use. As I was "researching" images on getty I noticed that they had a photo with some laces missing from the pinky/ring finger support area. I checked the glove and BINGO laces are missingDefinite style match. Enjoy.

Re: January pick-ups
Ok, so one of my biggest pick-ups in January is not even game used. It is a display case I picked up from a retail store that was going out of business. I paid $100 for the case which was a great deal except I had to go pick it up. The case is about 6' tall by 3' wide. I cleaned it up and threw some stuff in just to see how it would look. I am planning to set it up with some of my more difficult to display items like a GU base and cleats, etc.

Re: January pick-ups
Not game used...but movie used
This is a working Gremlin puppet and hero prop from Gremlins 2...it is also believed that it was used in the original Gremlins movie as well. It stands almost three feet tall and would've required up to 8 puppeteers to opporate. It has arm controls and hand gripping motion, mouth snarl, eye movement including blinking, and ear wiggling amongst others.
His mounting board reads #10 (denoting hero/working gremlin cast number) and is named Green Steve. Also noted is the inscription that says Mechanical Arm Glen...which means the hands were used for the Close Ups for another Gremlin. I got this piece from former prop master Brook Yeaton.
There is some dry rotting present, however for a piece that is almost 20 years old and abused during production...not too shabby in my opinion. I wonder how many others are out there. I was also supplied with names of people who can help to restore the trouble spots
I love the horror movies but there would be no way Id want that in my house. Although the only reason Id love to have it is to scare the bejesus out of my husband.Leave a comment:
