Rawlings made them for a few of there "elite" accounts. They were/are used for marketing. The problem is, since they are an exact replica of their Heart of the Hide series, the quality is high and the price matches the quality. I'm not selling mine but there is one available, $700. If any one is interested, please let me know.

I'm definitely interested. Please email me ASAP at lazukor@gmail.com. Do they make these gloves for all different positions, or just this one model? My birthday is comimng up in two weeks, so this would be a great present to myself!

Brett Gardner game used helmet which is "pounded" with use. I also believe it to be the helmet that he was wearing when he scored the final run at Yankee Stadium.

Note the bent top of the second "1" on the brim of the helmet and the screenshot from the 9/21/08 mlb.tv broadcast showing the same (screenshot taken after he slid into third just before scoring on a sacrifice fly).

The residue on the visor also appears to match but there is some distortion due to lighting.

Wow, that is an amazing match and helmet with a great historic flavor to it. I'm pretty sure photofile has a shot of him scoring the final run at Yankee Stadium. He was signing it at a show he was at and inscribing final run at yankee Stadium. It's not a close up if I recall, but would be a cool thing to have with the helmet.

I'm sure you already know this. But, I noticed that the LVS labeling places this bat as a 1983-85. Maybe it can help you narrow it down.

Metsbats pointed that out I am far from an expert but he showed me a photo of Backman either late 87 or 88 using this type of bat with Len Dykstra.Im gonna pick up some programs and yearbooks.He believes Backman may have used it because of the tape job.Have some work to do but that is what makes it fun..Thanks for the pointers I appreciate it..
