This is why there are so many unhappy collectors and fakes out there, because people give shady descriptions that dont match the product to make the extra bucks.
I agree with the above, game ready would be a better description, regardless of the source. What is the going rate for a solid game used Bagwell bat anyway?

Seems like one "mistake" too many for my taste. I'll remind myself not to make the "mistake" of purchasing anything from you.

    Zookerman,

There are only signs of bat rack marks and a couple of scuff at the end of the bat, also likely from the bat rack or maybe even the box the bat came in. I received the bat directly from Scott Brosius off of eBay as it is today. The bat has Jeff's #5 on the knob sticker.

I did nothing wrong here. Frik posts only part of my e-mail. I gave her the benefit of the doubt ands assumed she didn't get the whole thing. She could have easily clarified with me. It is plain as day on my sent e-mail. But, no one will believe me, so why argue. Frik asked about both the Sam bat and another bat I offered. The one that has the light sticky tar and ball mark is the top bat pictured. I go on in my e-mail to state that the sam bat has no use, but is like the one pictured on the cover of the Astros Bagwell retirement program, which I assumed she has seen as a point of reference!

You emailed me originally from the Blackberry. It was only when you described the Bagwell as having use that you sent me the pictures. And that was at 10 pm later that night. That is, 12:00 am later your time. There was no cutting and pasting error.

He also told me that he only had one more jersey in his possession that was a 2003 gamer. Now there are two??? Something just doesn't add up here.

Because you were striving for "the Best Bagwell" available I offered you a jersey from a source in California, but I later decided to hold that one as it came with provenance and a picture of Bagwell handing the jersey to the person. I then offered you another jersey with a "thick" autograph. I gave you two options and gave you the choice. You chose the one you ended up with. I did tell you I preferred the thinner autographed jersey as it matched my Biggio and Berkman 2003 jerseys. Strange how neglect to mention that!

I am not sure why the autograph faded, but if it did it is due to mishandling. I give a 7 day retrun policy on all items sold.

In regard to my website, as many people know, I had not updated my site in over 1 year. I have been experimenting with a total revamp. I deleted a lot of items that were no longer for sale. In my opinion, the Sam bat does have "light use." Bagwell had prepared the bat for use with his #5 on the knob and there are bat rack marks. I see nothing wrong with the description.
You never offered three jerseys. I only knew of two. And the thicker auto was supposed to be the best. It was only after I decided to buy the jerseys that you told me that it came from a friend of Jeff's in California. I know nothing of the supposed other jersey.

    Bill,

The bat only exhibits bat rack marks and has a couple of scuffs at the end. I purchased the bat from Scott Brosius off eBay.

REMARKABLE the man buys a brand new bat on ebay and has the nerve to sell it on his website for that much of a profit, hoping people will believe it came from his astros sources..... throw this guy off the site it just reeks of dishonesty.... i see this is not the first time items have been altered.... i hope this is grounds for dismissal or is im sorry enough so this can happen a third time?
