A Rod Woodson Steelers Jersey or shoes. AMI has had a few Woodson jerseys. Lealands had a complete jersey and shoes signed by Woodson at the Nationals in 2009. They never made it to auction due to the customer taking the items back. Would love to have own the shoes...

Kevin Greene and Greg Lloyd Steelers jerseys.

    Any Hines Ward items.

The above items are out there and could happen in my price range. Holy grails and dreams are another story...

My first one isn't an expensive item. I missed out on it while it was listed on ebay. The seller never relisted it.

A game used Portland Beavers hat worn by Tim Redding during a rehab stint during the short time he was with the Padres.

      A Jim Walewander Jersey

I just had a good lead on a "legit" Rollins jersey with the help of a forum member but the seller this morning indicated it was no longer available for undisclosed reasons.

If anyone out there knows of an available Rollins gamer I got my harpoon ready...

A Danny Marino Pitt jersey or a Mario Lemieux rookie - era jersey. American Memorabilia had both. I missed them. Anybody have these? I'll take them off your hands!

I'll add this to my list a team issued Tim Redding Chicago White sox jersey. He never was called up to play for them in 2006.
I read somewhere online a while back where somebody bought it at a fanfest. Can't find where now.

The Lastings Milledge Chiefs jersey that I missed out on and is possible that a forum member has it. Also his game used B-Mets jersey that TNT had. Lost on it three times, so if I get a fourth, I won't let it get by.

Re: What is your White Whale?

Glad to see this thread 'resurface' (pun INTENDED)...

While not on my original list, I have obtained THREE pieces that could be White Whales or Holy Grails for various collector's and consider myself very fortunate that I was in a position to obtain each one when they became available over this past year...

#1: Jason Giambi GU - 1st Rockies Jersey (Photo matched) to his Sept 1, 2009 debut and Sept 2, 2009 at bats for the Rockies vs the Mets.

#2: Eric Young Jr GU - 1st (and still ONLY) MLB Homerun Jersey (Photo matched) to his Sept 8th, 2009 HR at bat (I retrieved his HR ball!).

#3 Mike McKenry GU - MLB Debut Jersey (Photo matched) to his Sept 8, 2010 1st MLB at bat (I have been following Mike through the Minor Leagues)... in fact, I had Mike sign my MLB Catcher's Mitt (about 60 sigs on it so far) at ST and he was the 1st person I had sign it who had not yet made it onto an MLB Roster at the time they signed it as I was certain he would make the Big Club before the end of the season.

                        All the best -

                        Smitty

A game-worn 2001 World Series Matt Williams jersey. I actually had a deal worked out with the owner, once, but he backed out of it.

Now, I would have to say a Civil Rights Game authenticated baseball. I have most the others that I am aware of. (Not including All-Star and World Series because they are a fortune)
