I think I posted this before but this is his workout boot for his bullpen session before the bloody sock game in 2004. The boot was too heavy so they decided to do the surgery and we all know how that worked for our Sox.
No way he should get in. Just like Goh said if he does Mussina has to get in before him.
I would definately hope and think Schilling would get in before Mussina. Curt's accomplishments far out way what Mussina has done. Mike is not a big game pitcher and how many world series titles has he won ? The only thing Mike has going for him is 300 wins and some gold gloves.
Mussina had 270 wins for his career. He was a good pitcher for many years but I would hesitate to call him great at any point of his career. Schilling was a good pitcher throughout his career and was dominant for 3 seasons. His post season resume and 3 World Series rings(all of which he was a key contributor to) give him a clear edge if either were to go into the HOF.
k
he sports the highest strikeout to walk ratio of all time.
Schilling ended his career with a 216-146 record, 3.46 ERA and 3116 career strikeouts, 14th most in MLB history.

That resume looks pretty good if you ask me. I think he is Hall bound for sure. Probably not a first ballot but he will get there.
Jack Morris deserves the call before Schilling.
Wanted: Minnesota Twins throwback or special event jerseys.
