Unless you want to purchase the photos, you cannot 'view ' the image to get a photo link (even with the API watermark) like you can on Getty and other sites.
Which, if you read my post - I CLEARLY stated after each set of information.

No pics showing the knob or the end of the barrell, but the pine on the bat looks fairly spot on in the pics...
Check it out and let me know -
Chris
Its supposed to be from the games you specified. I will get the definitive look from extra Hi Res from the Nats photographer!!!!
Should be able to match the bleed in that black dot. With the black barrel you can't pick up any marks so it has to be the pine tar or knob detail I think.
The knob had something I thought was interesting. Check out the blue ballpoint in the #1. If I could get knob detail, that may be the most distinctive thing or a closeup of the black dot as that has a distintinctive bleed.
Kyle, how did you get those amazing hi-res screen grabs? I can tell it's a HD broadcast signal, but were you somehow able to capture from a DVR, or was it recorded directly to your hard drive? However you did it, it's a great tool for research.

Here's how I do it, maybe others do it differently: You can play the game on your computer in full screen and hit the print screen button, then go into something like paint and hit paste. It'll paste an image of what your screen looked like when you hit print screen.

That's actually the NEW MLB.tv. That's how all games are aired through MLB.tv starting in 2009. I've never seen such amazing quality and I think 2009 will be "year of the photomatch" with this new research tool. From 2006-2008 it was sometimes really hard to make out any marks on bats and jerseys but in 2009 it looks like you can catch ever rack mark & loose stitch.
Even though we didn't get a photomatch, I am still going to pay out the $100 split in threes and need your email address to PayPal so please email me. I have already paid out to Kyle Hess and Chris H. who also were great!!!!
I am getting another Pujols so will need help on that one too!!!
