    Re: Pink Bats

The Pirates have sold a few off from this season. I recall seeing a Sanchez and LaRoche. MLB allowed teams that were rained out to use them in the next game this year. You could go watch Pirates game on MLB.com and see who used them and even check completed auctions and see what they have sold for.

    Pink Bats

Does Anyone Know If The Pirates Or Mlb Are Selling Off Their Pink Bats From This Season? I Think The Game Was Rained Out So The Bats Would Just Be Game Issued. Any Information Would Help. Also Does Anyone Know If John Flaherty Ever Used A Pink Bat For The Mothers Day Games? Thanks All. henmick44@optonline.net

Here is mine that came in. I knew from mlb.com auction pictures it had some sweet use. It has a bunch ball/seam marks and moto/pine tar on the handle. I know from game video he used a pink bat in every at bat and had one hit.

I just got my pink bat from DHL today. It was the Daric Barton game used X-Bat. The mlb authentication detail says it was used in the game, but I doubt this was the HR bat. That must have gone to his Mom. Pretty rare none the less, as he only got 2. Enjoy!

Thank Mike. Anderson had one AB as a pinch hitter during that game.

Can anyone recommend the best way to photo match? I see a lot of people use Getty images, but wondering the best way to do this....

    Thanks in advance.

Mine came in today! Pretty pumped, was driving away from home and saw the magical DHL truck heading my way. Made a quick U turn and met the guy at the door.

Tons of stuff going on but I will get pictures up sometime of my Encarnacion.

    Leslie,

Yes the bat was wrapped very securely in heavy bubble wrap. Could not have asked for a better packing job.

The only other experience I had with MLB delivery was the large cardboard plaque which was used for the 86 Mets reunion game for Ed Hearn. This was an oversized item and was securely wrapped and packed with about a ton of packing popcorn.

Just a general observation after looking at the mailing label. The return address is MLB auctions and the contents of the box is listed as 'BAT'.

Good thing DHL is a sponsor of MLB otherwise with all this info on the shipping label there may be alot of packages being lost or contents stolen.

Thanks Brian. Which one did you win? It's amazing how many forum members have picked up pink bats. It's great to see them all.
