Re: Obscure jerseys from Amazing Players
Big D also had White Sox Sand-Knit pullover jerseys as part of a BP pitcher uniform he wore in the mid-1980s before retreating to the announcer's booth for the game itself.

Re: Obscure jerseys from Amazing Players
A couple of years ago, late in the season, Mel Stottlemyre Senior was made a special pitching consultant, or some such title, with the Arizona Diamondbacks; I remember seeing him in the dugout during a game, wearing a DBacks uniform.
I certainly wouldn't mind getting that jersey for Christmas.
2003 ST Cubs uniform of Will Clark...the Cubs' nemesis in the 1989 NLCS became their friend that spring as he went to camp (in #22 jerseys with his name on back) to work with then-promising young 1B Hee Seop Choi.

Willie McCovey......San Diego Padres ('74-'76)
Or if you really want to find a needle in a haystack......how about a McCovey gamer form the Oakland A's? He had 24 at-bats, 5 hits, no homers for them the second half of 1976.Leave a comment:
