Re: post your July pick-ups
Nice Cano bat. Is this a GU bat that was used by Cano during the 09 World Series?
I noticed the bat was made in Febuary 2009, do you see any gold WS ink transfers?
Thanks,

Re: post your July pick-ups
Thanks Bobby- yes, I did find two separate gold marks on close inspection. Cano signed it "WS Game Used", but it helps to have more than that, of course.Comment

Re: post your July pick-ups
Here are my Derek Jeter game used baseballs that I recently
were able to get signed.
1. Specially marked baseball used from his at-bat on 9/11/2009
while chasing Gehrigs Yankees All-time hit record. I followed his at-bats
on MLB.com and saw only 4-5 balls were used during his at-bats. The ball
also has some special "invisible" markings on it that can only be seen under
a UV lamp. I won't post it to protect MLB's invisible authentication process.
2. Game-used ball from 8/16/2009 when Jeter broke Aparicio's all-time SS
hit record. Ball is just game used and unrelated to Jeter's at bats.
3. Game-used ball from 2006 WBC that Jeter hit for an RBI double. Cool
thing is you can see part of the "GENUINE" from his bat.
Thanks,

Re: post your July pick-ups
HUGE thanks go out to GUU member camarokids for not only letting me know about this bat, but also for acting as a "middle man" with an eBay user that wouldn't ship to Canada.

Re: post your July pick-ups
This is a game issued/ game used autographed jersey from Aaron Poreda of the AAA Portland Beavers in the San Diego Padres chain. The jerseys were auctioned off during the game to benefit Limbs For Life and their outreach to the Dominican Republic. Aaron was very nice and posed with my girls for a few photos. He did not pitch in the game, so technically it is not game used.
thanks for looking, DavidComment
