Is your nameplate thread black or gold?

I am assuming black thread since the jersey and name plates are both black? My friend has the jersey now trying to get Ben to sign and I don't have it with me to inspect.
Contact me personally if you are thinking of buying this from me I will not sell it less than I purchased for.

the material of the nameplate and font lettering are both inconsistent with Steelers game jerseys.
Lettering looks pretty similar to the game photo on left...at least to me.

Just a word of advice that I learned the hard way. If you have a GU Jersey that is important to you, you should always try to attend a private signing or some format where you will get the best possible signature with good authenticity.

I once had a Jersey that I haphazardly stuck in a players face to be signed and it became a mess. The player scribbled his name and the signature could never be authenticated.

If you have a "Keeper", you should always take your time and do it right. It also gives you the opportunity for the player to personalize the Jersey for you....Such as "2011 Superbowl MVP" etc.

Unless your buddy is planning on having Lunch with Rothlesburger, I would tell him not to go out of his way to have it signed.

the 7 is also off notice the ones Ben is wearing has a narrower longer cut at the top part of the number while the jersey posted is more short and chunky.

Again, I don't really see a difference between the number and letters when looking at the Getty image on left.

Maybe the O in the nameplate...looks narrower, but it could just be that it's not laying flat.

But at the end of the day, my name's Pierre...

this is a real game issued Ben jersey cut to his specifications can you see the difference in the 7 now? this looks more like a match to the Getty Image

Agreed....The Material and Font of the name plate and number looks identical to me. When I first looked at the nameplate material, it looked too shiny, but I think that the Getty image is the same material.

I think it's the camera angle or maybe it was snowing/raining that game so it gives the jersey a slick look to it. Take a look at other Steelers game jerseys and there is no shiny material on the nameplates.

IMO....The 7 in the Getty image on the right is identical to the Jersey posted. I don't see any difference in the Ebay listing at all.....Although my eyesight isn't what it once was.....

Hey, I'm not saying the BBR jersey is legit, I'm just saying what looks similar to me. The left Getty pic looks to have a shiny nameplate. I realize this is not the norm for Steelers jerseys, but that's what it looks like. And maybe it's snowing or raining in that dude's house and that's why the nameplate looks shiny on the jersey that's on the hanger. And if we're going to use the camera angle argument, then how can you be so sure the 7 on the left Getty photo isn't the same as the jersey on the hanger?

Also, does anyone know what size Ben wore his rookie season and what size he wore last season? Because I'd bet my house that BBR was 30 lbs. heavier last year, than he was during his rookie season.

does it appear to you that the beginning top of the 7 in both Getty Images also appear slanted whereas the jersey posted it doesn't have any curves?

I'm guessing Ben wore a size 42 in his rookie season since this jersey has the older Reebok tagging

I'm guessing BBR has never worn a size 42 pro jersey.
