It was originally believed that Jimmy Rollins kept his game worn 2008 World Series Jersey. It turns out, that's not the case. I just picked it up. Each player was issued 2 home and 2 road for the 08 WS. These were not worn in the regular season and those were sold seperately. After the series, some took 1, some took both. What wasnt taken was stored away and just recently brought out and authenticated. Since the Phillies had no way of knowing which were worn and which werent, they were holo's as issued.

I was able to photomatch this one by using the stripes, as well as some faint dirt residue on the front. Its hard to see it in the photos, but its there. Each and every stripe matches up. The wash tag shows tremendous use for 2 games.

Majestic Cool Base Size 46, 0063 Wash Tag with -2" body length. MLB Authenticated.

I bet this jersey would look good under the black light. Nice pick up!

There is no disputing a photomatch.

Oh yeah? You certainly disputed one of my photomatches and was pretty succinct about your opinion which turned out to be wrong. Anyway, that is a nice pickup you have there and I won't dispute your photomatch as you did with mine.

I cant see the dirt stains, is it the lighting, can someone post a clearly picture of the jersey, the stripes seem to line up, looks good to me, i would love to see the reminisce of the dirt though

I didnt mean to come off as rude either. Believe me, I didnt think the Phillies would do such a thing either, but the photos prove they did. Its really quite unbelievable. The guy I bought this from, bought 7 others, and he said the Rollins was the only one that showed use. I bought it before I even photomatched it, and was shocked when I was able to.

You know it's funny how every other day we all discuss how hit or miss the MLB Authentication program can be and how uninformed MLB clubs are when it comes to GU but we can’t believe that something like this slips through the cracks. I can totally believe it and I’ve always believed that pinstripes are like fingerprints and to me the photos don’t lie, it’s the same jersey. Congrats to MLB Authentic for stumbling on to quite a find.

I am just curious, when did they sell the Utley, Howard, etc. ones? The list I saw had Rollins, Victorino at $300 and then they dropped to $250, $200, etc. Did you contact Hollinger himself?

Just picked up Jonny Gomes 2011 Spring Training jersey. It's absolutely pounded and MLB authenticated to March 22nd, a game that he hit a HR. I also picked up a 2010 Jim Edmonds game used helmet, which is currently available for Edmonds collectors.
