Just picked up this great pink breast cancer jersey from the Brevard County Manatees and it is signed by the player.

Picked up some items not usually on my radar....

Old Champion GU jersey from a local high school. 48 +2 length. I'm a sucker for Champion.

Here's something I found intriguing. A GU jersey from the Jungo Bears. A team from the CPBL. The Bears were only around from '93 to '95. They then became the Sinon Bulls.

This particular player is Will Flynt.

Bill Flynt Minor, CPBL, Mexican, Independent & Japanese Leagues Statistics including batting, fielding, prospect rankings and more on Baseball-Reference.com

Looking through his bio I was surprised that he played for my M's farm team, San Bernardino, before his stint overseas.

No problem, I called before going and they said no batting helmets were available, but plenty of game used bats, balls and jerseys.

Well, after entering the street level downstairs team shop, my wife is looking thru the women's section of M's clothing and what do I see on the back corner wall? A display case with four game worn batting helmets, caps, bats, scorecards, balls...the whole nine! I asked a salesperson if these were just for display and not for sale, and he said oh no...all of these game used items in the case are for sale.

The sales guy stated the upstairs shop does not communicate with the downstairs shop. Even he admitted some real gems make their way down there and no one thinks to look on the lower level for GU items.

I know in the future where I will stop first next time. Of the three remaining helmets, one had no "S" sticker on the front or number on the back, but the other two showed nice pine tar and use, with numbers I cannot recall...maybe "4" was one of them? I was so hyped when I saw what he and I believed to be Jack Wilson, I kind of just zoned in to that one and bought it.

    Hope this helps!

Dan Johnson's Miami Dolphins helmet with the David Overstreet memorial sticker.
Bo Orlando's San Diego Charger helmet.
Aurelio Rodriguez 1971 Detroit Tigers flannel with name on back.
The character BILLINGSLY from the movie FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS, it was worn in the final game by the actor who played Tim McGraw's son and actually shows some great use and staining.

Interesting helmet. It's definitely a "2" or "5" that has been taken off?
Yeah, I would say it was a "2" or "5", since the top of the residue has that octagon shape on the very top left, and the way the M's numbers are, those numbers fit the bill with players from that season. Of course, it could have also been "8", but not too many # "89" in baseball...at least not that season in Seattle!

The reason I believed it was Mike Carp was due to the fact he would have worn that style of ear flap in 2009 and he was the only one with a number ending in "9" (ex: #59) that fit the bill. But Clement would be a reasonable guess as well, and maybe it's really from the 2008 season?

The hologram states 2009 season, which is why I at first thought the sales guy was right when he said it was Jack Wilson's. But now...hard to say if it's just another of MLB.com faulty holo information?

Also, no problem on the Seahawks Pro Shop heads up . There really will be no better time to buy game used from them, because 30% off is huge! I wish I would have had more cash on me, because I would have bought another jersey or two. But, oh well...the Engram was the main reason I went there today. Plus I love game worn helmets, no matter from who. They look awesome in my collection.

I work and live in southern WA, but my wife and I make it up there once every month or two for an M's game or a signing, and always swing by the Hawks Pro Shop. Let me know if you ever want to meet up sometime.

Thanks for the heads up at the Pro Shop, might try to make it down there tomorrow.

As for the M's helmet, I'd check that hologram but even so, Jack is a righty and the hemlet is obviously for a lefty. I'd say it's a better chance it was Jeff Clements helmet. I think I saw it before and they tried telling me it was Jacks as well and I said probably Jeff because of the righty/lefty thing.
(SIGH) Yeah, I met Jack before and have him on a team signed Pirates hat I got in person, so I was stoked when I got this today.

But, no doubt you are correct. I looked thru Getty and saw the proof for myself. Jeff Clement would be nice, as another ex-Bucco, but there is sticker residue on the left of the "9", which looks like a "2" or a "5". Could have been Adrian Beltre, which would have been awesome as well, except wrong side again with the ear flap. Making me conclude it's probably a Mike Carp that was then converted to a Jeff Clement...thus why the other number was removed and the "9" was left on there. Still, for $80, not really complaining .
