Yes, they were worn in 2001. I don't know how many games or anything much more about them though.

My all time favorite is a 1918 flag patch worn to show support of World War 1.

That's pretty cool. You don't actually own a WW1 jersey correct? Did the photo come from the Hall of Fame?

It's one of mine, albeit only a minor league jersey. The patch is especially cool because it is so thick and nothing like modern patches.

I just got this, and it will be going up on the wall in a frame. 1985 White Sox jersey with Comiskey Park 75th patch.

Rather unique are the 1982-83 White Sox All-Star game patches. I can't provide a close-up of a genuine version, but the red and unbordered examples on eBay right now are all replicas.

Anyway, being the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the first All-Star game (held in the original Comiskey Park in 1933), the Sox not only wore the patch all of 1983, but for the final 3 months or so of 1982, after the '82 event, as shown on this 1983 Topps card of Sparky Lyle, a late-season pickup for the Chisox in 1982.
