Hi all new to this forum I'm Beck from down uder, I have just recently started collecting game-used items, mostly collect game-used items of Jason Varitek and Tim Wakefield, as well as items used by the Australian Baseball players.

Picked this one up the other day on ebay, its been photomatched, which is awesome like to find out what game it was used in, seller said it was purchased directly from the White Sox, I guess I should have asked the seller but never gave that a though lol

Hi Beck,

Glad to see you and Mat finally got approved! I guess i'll have to be on my toes around here now.

Glad you're pumped about the Youk piece. They're pretty specific around here when it comes to photo matching, there needs to be a definitive match between the item and the photo (i.e. a dirt mark or scrape or ball impression or pinstripes lining up with logos.). What you have at the moment is a style match.

What we need is some hi res pics of Youk so that we can zoom in on the arm band and match the marks on your guard to the marks in the photos.

If you can email me the details of the game you got the above pic from, i'll have a look on MLB.tv to help you out. Not sure if the quality will be high enough there though, might have to keep trawling through net images!

September 30, 2012 versus the Rays. If you search Youk on Getty Images, it is the first photo.

If MLB.tv wasn't being such a mother yesterday I would have more. Not bragging, but my internet speed is in the top 98% of Australians (114Mbps d/l) and I struggle getting a solid MLB.tv connection. Quality comes and goes, using the "clickable linescore" is painful and often results in resets of the video. Not sure how some of you do it...
