Re: September Pick Ups
Snagged a foul ball during Twins BP at the Cell Monday night (#1792). I also dealt with a fan to get a first inning, second plate appearance foul ball from Alejandro de Aza. I had a though behind purchasing the ball, and my reasoning came to fruition: it was Chisox starter Erik Johnson's 1st ever MLB win.

George Brett 1993 GU Bat:
The bat was acquired twenty years ago right out of the dugout at Anaheim Stadium, directly from Brett by forum member Jerry Sage, a local here and a really good guy. I was lucky enough to have Jerry contact me to work out a deal to add this phenomenal bat to my Brett collection. It is definitely one of the most extreme bats I have ever seen, the pictures speak for themselves...
Thank you again, Jerry!

Re: September Pick Ups
Picked up these Hosmer game used batting gloves before the Royals game tonight. I noticed that he had these in his right back pocket with a brand new pair in cellophane in his left pocket. As he was coming in from BP, I asked him if I could have them and he threw them on the dugout. GRAB!
While I think it would be impossible to photo match these with no distinctive outside marks, to me, the previous few games they surely would've been used. That means on Saturday the 14th when he hit a triple. I did find an up close on Getty from Saturday and they are the exact color and style. Same with Sunday. I haven't checked Friday yet.
Does anyone know the average life for some batting gloves?Leave a comment:

Re: September Pick Ups
Just got these in today.
Jose Iglesias and Dustin Pedroia game used Marucci bats. Iglesias show nice use and the Pedroia is hammered with ball marks and heavy pine tar.
Batting gloves: Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Dustin Pedroia.
Thanks,
Bobby
