My San Jose Giants got swept in the California League Championship by the Inland Empire 66ers, but it was a fun season and I ended up with a few items after the final game.

San Jose road jersey, which was used for 3 seasons. Alex Burg in 2011, Dan Burkhart in 2012, Elliot Blair in 2013.


I asked Elliot Blair for his road cap before he left so that I could have it with his jersey. He obliged.




Pitcher Jason Forjet was kind enough to give me his 4th of July game worn cap.

Added a couple nice additions this past month. Added a Brad Lidge 2009 NLDS nameplate from a fellow member (thanks again!). Also picked up a MLB Authenticated ball from Game 5 of the 2011 ALDS between the Yankees and Tigers. Nothing major to note of the ball, but as it stands, looks to be from the final postseason game Mariano Rivera will ever pitch in and I thought that was kind of cool.

Some nice pickups! I was able to pick up Mac's away jersey from the same auction. Did you go the last day of the series? Did you know if they were giving stuff away the last day or threw anything out before leaving?

My wife and I just got back from the four games series between the New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles 9-12 September. Yanks won 3 of 4, so it was a great time.

I finally got to me Andrew Lang and visited his store at Camden Yards. When I got there, he was holding for me one of the game used baseballs from the game (MLB Authenticated), in which Arod hit an RBI Double in the 3rd Inning. That was the icing on the cake for me during this trip.

Thanks Andrew! It was finally great to meet you in person!

The picture of Camden Yards was from our Hotel widow. Hilton Hotel on the 20th floor.

Tony, I just saw this! Great pictures and it was even better finally meeting you in person!

Thanks! Yes, I was at the last game of the series. The players did give some stuff away after the game, mostly caps and a few bats. Almost everything was snatched up by a small group of teenage kids and a couple of older gentlemen who were pretty aggressive in asking the players for items. Some players didn't give away anything because supposedly they were donating them to a children's hospital. I emailed some of the front office staff asking if I could have any game used items being thrown away and I never heard back. One of the front office staff said they would try to get me some pants when I won the jersey auction but it didn't happen.
