Re: November 2014 Pickups
Nice Orioles helmet Clint.
I just won this 1971 Astros jersey worn by Bob Watson. I have been going after one of these for a long time, and also looking for the previous 'shooting star' design with the dark star. I think it was affordable because Watson's name had been removed from the back.
Also, just finished restoring this ca. 1900-10 jersey. It had 20 or so moth holes in the fabric and also in the navy felt.
I like to wear these when I do shows, so both will see modern 'action'.

Re: November 2014 Pickups
That was the same question I asked before purchasing it. It's all original. The pictures make it look perfect but in hand you can see light use or storage marks. It's not one of those crappy remakes that guy on ebay was faking.
Here's a photo of Powell with a similar helmet that looks pretty good too. The Orioles had no rhyme or reason to their helmets as far as I can tell. Powell is wearing an older style in this photo and it looks great. Not sure who is in the back of Powell but he is wearing the later style cartoon Oriole and it's all scratched up.Leave a comment:

It looks age-appropriate to me. But I have to admit - I needed repainting when I turned 50.Leave a comment:

Re: November 2014 Pickups
While it was purchased to flip, I was pleasantly surprised with a baseball I purchsed on eBay. The description was basically "Official game-used MLB basebll sealed in cube", or words to that nature. I got it at a nice price. It came in, unsealed it from the cube, and was delighted to learn that it wasn't just a standard MLB baseball...it was one of the Opening Day versions with the silver print and logos on it. THAT was fun.
