    Sorry Dave . . . . More from '84. Carmelo Martinez Road.

    Unfortunately, the two things I remember about the Cubs at this time were the scathing and ill informed Mike Royko piece before the NLCS “We Are Going to Slaughter Those Lousy Wimps” and Keith Moreland along with Ron Cey turning their backs on the Padres during player introductions.

    Here is a 1984 Gary Templeton World Series year road jersey. Mr. cheerleader, without his flag waving and enthusiasm, I don't think the Padres make it to the World Series in '84.

    Here is a rookie Luis Salazar road jersey. I think he is still working with the Padres even after he had one of his eyes taken out by a flying bat.

    By the late 70's early 80's, the top Padres affiliates had their own uniforms. Possibility of Amarillo, Reno or Walla Walla though.

    Game used or not, it's still a great item. Pro contracts from his career are probably rarer than his game worn jerseys are.
