Re: February Pickups
Picked up a couple items recently for my Cal Ripken Jr. collection..
The first being the locker nameplate of Cal's from the 1995 ASG in Arlington (also the season he passed Lou Gehrig):
This is an item that's been on my want list for sometime and it being one of the chairs that were used for the historic game that Cal passed Lou Gehrig on 09/06/95...The Orioles created two special sections on the field and sold 100 tickets for $5000/each to raise money for ALS...Since there were only 100 tickets sold, these chairs come up rarely:
Great pickup these seats or combo packages rarely ever come up due to the very limited number of them. I may be sadly forced to part with my own chair and limited edition print/ticket combo from that game due to some unforeseen financial circumstances.
Glad you were able to grab that this is only the 4th total one of these I have seen in the past 15 plus years.Brett Herman

'Simba". Now there was a Cardinal I actually liked. Loved that dude in the 70's. Should be in the HOF, catching in that heat, all those hits, awesome jersey pickup. Congrats from a Cub fan.Comment

Re: February Pickups
I have to apologize for previously stating collecting game used baseballs were collecting an item that all looked alike. In fact they're all different, can be researched better than any item(I think). I recently picked up a game used thrown knuckleball from RA Dickey's 20 win season, and a Scott Spiezio baseball hit for a double. If you have MLB TV you can find out a lot more about any play (Dickey threw the ball twice for strikes), than the MLB hologram number gives you. Thanks to Ray (Drawtheline2010) and A.SmithComment

Having said all that, that Dickey ball is nice. Any fingernail marks on it?Comment

Re: February Pickups
I see two marks. I'll take photos and post. You always see a players first hit or a milestone taken out of play, but I agree with the glove. That's one piece of equipment that's always been special to a player of any age.Comment
