Viewers of the NFL's third and final London game of the season likely noticed players on the Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars were wearing decals and patches featuring red flowers. Why were the American football teams wearing them for the game at Wembley Stadium?…

This is an item that's been on my want list for sometime and it being one of the chairs that were used for the historic game that Cal passed Lou Gehrig on 09/06/95...The Orioles created two special sections on the field and sold 100 tickets for $5000/each to raise money for ALS...Since there were only 100 tickets sold, these chairs come up rarely:

Great pickup these seats or combo packages rarely ever come up due to the very limited number of them. I may be sadly forced to part with my own chair and limited edition print/ticket combo from that game due to some unforeseen financial circumstances.

Glad you were able to grab that this is only the 4th total one of these I have seen in the past 15 plus years.

Just picked up this Oakland A's Mike Sweeney jersey from his one year with A's in 2008.

'Simba". Now there was a Cardinal I actually liked. Loved that dude in the 70's. Should be in the HOF, catching in that heat, all those hits, awesome jersey pickup. Congrats from a Cub fan.

All your St. Louis gamers are nice, but the Simmons rookie year flannel is one of a kind. Is the NOB original or restored?

Yep...missing and restored NOBs are pretty common for Cardinals flannels. Still a primo jersey, regardless.

I have to apologize for previously stating collecting game used baseballs were collecting an item that all looked alike. In fact they're all different, can be researched better than any item(I think). I recently picked up a game used thrown knuckleball from RA Dickey's 20 win season, and a Scott Spiezio baseball hit for a double. If you have MLB TV you can find out a lot more about any play (Dickey threw the ball twice for strikes), than the MLB hologram number gives you. Thanks to Ray (Drawtheline2010) and A.Smith

It's funny you say that. I've spoken with a couple of baseball players about their game used stuff and for the most part the stuff they seem to connect with the bats they used or the glove they used. However I've also found when you hand them a ball to sign and you say something like "that's the ball you hit for your 200th hit" (or something like that) they seem to get excited like they are kids again. I guess there will always be something special about the baseballs to even them. Maybe it is connected to how they always collect their first hit baseball as a momento?

Having said all that, that Dickey ball is nice. Any fingernail marks on it?

I see two marks. I'll take photos and post. You always see a players first hit or a milestone taken out of play, but I agree with the glove. That's one piece of equipment that's always been special to a player of any age.
