Wonder what he wrote originally that merited defacing the item.
Personally, something like this ruins it.
It happens, Cal Ripken was signing artwork for me and wrote the date of his last game with the wrong date-----I told him to leave it instead of crossing it out. That's the problem with permanent markers and pens---tough to erase!
If it is high gloss you can with rubbing alcohol. The AROD appears to be grain and it will not come out unless you go over it....thus making it worse......
My humble opinion....
Thanks!

Always looking for late 70's-late 80's Mariners game used bats!
Having lived through full ALEX RODRIGUEZ, Alex Emmanuel Rodriguez, Alx Rodriez and Al Rodeo the sigs this looks like a classic "-USED-" AROD from 2000. When perhaps and I say perhaps BP counted as used. I know Alex used blonde bats in games randomly until about '96-'97 we can argue about the make later but just color right now. I believe in my OPINION this was HANDLED by AROD, swung at major league balls by Arod and signed by Arod. It is not $4,000 and most likely came from the man himself..... What do you want on your walls?????
Again my humble opinion and really not a bad price.....

I sent this listing to quick opinion from psa this afternoon because i was interested in the bat but the signature does look a little out of the norm. ill let you know how it comes back.
I knew a Vogue magazine photographer who signed and inscribed his final photos in pencil. I asked him what he did if his miswrote. He said he'd throw it in the trash.
