here is mine...reason: fav all time ball player, during a great series and I hate the yankees

I have the Rodman in my personal collection personalized to me. I have an autographed copy of the Billy Martin for sale on eBay right now as I generally only have personalized autographs in my collection.

I can't find a decent-sized pic of the cover, and my copy is buried in the files somewhere, but this cover of Beckett Baseball #155, from February 1968, features Travis Lee wearing a prototype Diamondbacks uniform, and I have the jersey in my collection.

I liked Griffey's first cover so much when it came out that I saved an unread copy and still have it.

I am very partial to the Freeman / Heyward cover now though.

My personal favorite, also from my youth...when The Man, The Myth and THE Legend finally got his national due from the media. Even sweeter was beating Miami's arrogant @sses in the National Title weeks later!

We must be around the same age. Your SI cover reminds me of my college roommate's grandma. Although I never met her in person we always referred to her as Grandma Penn State. She was a huge Nittany Lions fan and booster. He had a picture of her with a hat on that said "Penn State will have Miami by the Testaverdes". After they beat Miami she sent my roommate a hat that played the Penn State fight song if you pushed a button under the brim. I hated that damn hat!!

My personal favorite, also from my youth...when The Man, The Myth and THE Legend finally got his national due from the media. Even sweeter was beating Miami's arrogant @sses in the National Title weeks later!
