I, too, have been looking for a good A-Rod bat, but the ones pictured appear to be Batting Practice (BP) bats.
In the photo of A-Rod signing the bats: If you look at the barrels of the bats, there is a heavy amount of pine tar which ends at a distinct point where tape might have covered the barrel for use in BP.
(I do see the blue markings of ball-ink transfers, but this pine-tar line concerns me.)
There was a thread not too long ago regarding a Soriano bat that had similar "tape-removed" markings that the owner was able to photo-match.
Please help me out here.
What else could have legitimately caused this distinct pine tar line?

Or am I the only one who sees it?
Thanks,

Sometimes things don't appear what they seem to be (as shown by these photos). Even the picture with arod at the plate (in a game, not BP), you can see the lines.

I have an 2000 Mariners (C271) cupped-end black auto. COA from California Sports. Pounded with use and gorgeous thick autograph. Bat and auto. are a "10". $1250

Also; all blonde Louisville bats are BP bats. he only used a black bat Louisville C271 and ocassionally P72 in games. With the exception of 2004 with Yankees when he used an Old Hickory for a part of the season.

Are you serious?? You are 100% incorrect! Are you accusing Arod of signing a bat game used and lying about it??

Another so called expert, like youself, also said that arod never used blonde bats in games. Now, I know I only have a Bachelors Degree, but let me see if it comes in handy. Do I believe arod or Jlopez17? Hey, my BA is working...Arod!

Yes, I have followed Arod's career! Black Louisville sluggers are the bats he uses in games. Blonde Louisville Sluggers are the ones he uses in batting practice. He might put game used on them, but they were actually used in BP. He may have used one in a game on occasion; slump, etc. Primariliy though, blonde bats are his BP bats. Don't buy a blonde unless you want someone to tell you it is a BP bat even if the auto. says game used.

I love how so many people think they know everything about everything. I also have been following Arod's career, even prior to the Mariners! He has used blonde LS bats in games. He used black bats more than blonde LS, BUT HE DID USE THEM IN GAMES!!!! Just curious, have you attended every at bat...every inning...every game of arod's? With that said, THE END!
