Check out the picture of arod signing the bats on the first page. In the top right you'll see what looks like a stack of blank COAs with a spot for him to sign. What do you think the chances are he just signs the blank COAs, and the company later prints whatever information it wants onto them. Seems pretty plausible to me.

Also, the COAs in the picture have blue borders and blue writing. The one scanned below it looks like a B&W copy of the COA that then also has some color pictures, a hologram, and a signature. What the hell is going on?

With the large amount of fake items in the hobby today, I understand the agressiveness of many knowledgeable people in this forum to find them and help keep the hobby safe. However, some go overboard.

I don't believe this is why GUU was formed. I understand it to be for sharing knowledge and information to keep the hobby safe and help others who are not as knowledgeable. Sometimes people in this forum are way too aggressive with their opinions, sometimes resulting in rudeness and disrespect towards others who are here for help and to learn. It's difficult not to get somewhat defensive when you're getting pounded and/or attacked by people.

        Thanks

        Regards, Tony

OK, enough already. The fact of the matter is you should not buy a blonde A-Rod Louisville Slugger unless you pay a BP price because there is always going to be the question of whether it is a BP bat. I know for a fact that ARod signs all of the equipment he markets as "game used" whether he uses it in a game or BP, etc. Yes, at one point or another he has used a blonde bat in a game (slump, supply, fun, etc.). He uses black Louisville's 99% of the time in a game. Bottom line; If you want to buy a bat that can't be questioned, you need to buy a Black Louisville.

One last thing... as you can see in the picture of Alex signing, he has on a wedding ring which means worst case senerio having been married in November 2002 this picture of him signing Mariners bats was taken at least 3 years removed from Seattle. Judging by his looks, (Wght. ect.) this is a fairly recent picture. I find it hard to beleive that A-Rod who we know mainly uses blonde bats in BP can be handed a bat after having used it 4,5 or even 6 years before could have any idea if it was an actual game used bat!!!. Camarokid being able to locate mainly Seattle pics of A-Rod using blonde bats, the general consensus that if it's blonde it's probably BP would prevail!. By the way I am not an A-Rod basher, though Jeter is the man, A-rod is probaly the best ball-player today!! Go A-Rod and Go Yanks!!!!!!! Why buy a questionable blonde when a no question brunette is avaliable!!

Re: Alex Rodriguez Game Used Bat

For the large amount of Blonde LVS Arod bats in the market, their isnt enough photographic evidence of him using those bats in a game. So that would lead one to believe that they were used in Batting practice. And most of those photos where he is swinging a blonde bat, you cannot clearly see that it is a LVS, it could be a Mizuno. Thats why the majority of people would classify those bats as BP bats. Did you do your research before you purchased those two bats? For me it is a safer bet purchasing a bat that is at least style matched to the majority of photos of that player in a game. I think if Arod used a bat, he thinks that it is then game used, even though its really not. I have seen those blonde LVS for years being signed and sold as game used when their just isnt enough photographic evidence. You can see photos of Arod using blonde LVS and Rawlings in BP in the last 6 or 7 years on getty.

See, here is another example of someone judging before they know all the facts! These bats were purchased in 1998. Both bats game with COA from Millcreek Sports, who everyone knows they handled alot of arod stuff early in his career out of Seattle. The COA's were signed by Arod and read: "1998 Game Used." I then sent the bats last year to MVP to have new LOA's done with a picture of arod signing additionlly to the bats, "40/40 Season", which is also a fact from 1998.

So, the facts are...he did sign the MVP LOA's last year, but the original LOA's signed by arod in 1998, stated 1998 Game Used, and had to be destroyed when the new MVP LOA's were done.

So many of you enjoy accusing of wrong doing, yet you don't have all the facts yourself.

I'm done with all of this. I'm happy and confident with these bats.

Thanks for everything and no matter what bashing comes, I'm not responding to this thread anymore! Even if you talk about my Mom (lol).

                Take care and Happy Easter!!

JETEFAN, Jeter is also the man...I agree! But remember what I said, if he started his career in Seattle and put up the numbers what he has today, he would be an average SS. New York made him bigger than he truly is. JUST MY OPINION...NOT A FACT!

                    Wow

Geez things can get hot quickly!!! I bought a bat from Mr. Reid Fountaine. It is a black Rawlings bat from the 2004 Season. Does anyone have any comments about that?

                    Thanks

Those pics of the day game its actually a SAM bat, your bat might have been used before that at bat in Batting practice. Rawlings bats are definately BP bats.

Their are only a few photos of Arod using a Rawlings and they all seem to be in Batting practice. The majority of other photos appear to be using blonde LVS in BP and some black LVS as well in BP. Still cannot find photographic evidence of Arod swinging a blonde LVS within the last 7 years during an official game.

Thanks to everyone on the board i am learning alot and my collection is growing!!!!
