At first I thought it was George Stallings, manager of the 1914 Braves but the pics I have of him dont match and the Braves were still in last place as of JUly and couldnt have won a pennant in June.Comment

Pennant Day
This isn't really a legend, but another way that students used Old Main for purposes outside of school. It originated in 1903 when seniors would place their pennant on the north tower and then told juniors to "leave it lay." The two classes would battle to see if the juniors could get the pennant. But when several students fell or were pushed off the roof, though no deaths were involved, the tradition endedComment
