That's amazing. He was always my favorite growing up as a kid. I checked out a book from the library around 3rd grade and discovered we have the same birthday. That's an item I'd like to own one day. A signed Ruth ball.Comment

Maybe it's stupid for me to worry about this: But with the rampant identity theft these days, I wonder if some players are nervous about putting out thousands of clear samples of their signatures for total strangers? Maybe that's a factor in today's scribbled signings? Lew Burdette sometimes signed his name "Lou" and Tommy Lasorda often signs "Tom"; maybe for similar concerns?Comment
