No I don't have any proof of what the 2007 actual Game Used WS Bats look like...but being WS Bats I would tend to think that they would have engraved the team name to commemorate the fact!

You are right, they don't put team names on the regular Pro Player ordered bats and that is exactly why I inquired to them to try to get a time line as to when Eric may have ordered a unstained, model 16 that is 33.5" and 31.5oz so I could attempt to photo match it...

I'm glad that your experience was better than mine, but it sounded like you were inquiring on an item they were trying to sell and not something already sold.
I have never been a customer of X-bats.

You can think all you like but I suggest before you make a statement back it up with proof. Louisville Slugger makes W.S. bats for pro players and they do not put the team name of the barrel, just like X-bats.

As far as my experience with X-bats, I have inquired about items already sold and have always gotten a helpful response.

    On my exchange with XBats

    1) I have never purchased anything from them direct.
    2) They answered all my questions, over 3-4 emails worth of exchange.
    3) the Item I bought was not being offered by them for sale.
    4) I was able to find images that supported their info (though they did not provide the images, S.F. Giants did)

All in all I was happy with they way they treated me and got my questions answered.

    Regards,
    Ty

I can tell for a fact that pro players X-bats don't have the team name engraved on the barrel. X-bats have never done this with pro player bats in the past and for this years World Series. That's one way to distinguish a pro player bat from a store model regardless of Pro trophy or Pro maple!

So tell me how do you know that the W.S. model bats on the X-bat website are indeed the same model the Pro Players got, what evidence to you have to back this up?

As far a the experience you had with customer service, I'm not going to get into that as they have been helpful and very fast in answering any questions I have asked.

Their wording to you was very, tell. tale. "We can Tell" and that's all that matters to them.

It would have been less time consuming to have provided me or anyone with a simple answer to my simple question as opposed to saying gee, we only give that info to people who actually buy bats from us....so if I buy a bat from them the information then becomes readily available?

How in the heck did they know I didn't buy a bat from them before they responded? Profits before ethics and integrity is their motto!

    Bill,

That's what I intend on doing tomorrow...but it sure appears that they just don't care and to me that is very sad.

For the record, my Gagne bat says Pro Model, but if you read between the lines of the emails I got back from them, 99% of the game used stuff is crap that has their moniker on it....gee, why would they say that!
    bigjim,

Where does it "clearly" say pro model on the W.S. bats listed on the X-bat website??? Also the exact bat pictured may be different from the ones being produced and sold, which I think will have Pro Trophy below the 2007 World Series.

Heres an X-bat of Carl Crawford with Pro Maple 34 on the barrel. Thats how the pro players bats are labled.

Is it me or does it seem that X Bats have no problem making you the exact same bat as the pro's order so it would be all to easy to pass it off as a gamer. Then when you inquire about them they blow you off and say, hey you are a moron and that 99% of the stuff being sold as X Bats isn't game used...

They should be proactive and provide the public with good information instead of to continue to sell the exact same bat to the public...

Gee, I would love to order some nice jersey's with pro tagging and in effect that is exactly what they are doing for profit, not cool at all....

They have sucky ownership, their bats look generic, and hopefully they go out of business sometime soon.

    Brian,

Not sure who you spoke with in customer service but I just e-mailed them last night about their W.S. bats for sale on their website and got a timely response today.

X-bats stated that the player model bats being sold on their web site will have Pro Trophy on the barrel and the pro players game bats have Pro Model.

Also I noticed that Manny Ramirez bats from the ALCS and World Series dont have the team name branded on the bat like the ones offered on the web site

Thats too bad. Earlier this year I bought a Bonds autographed Xbat from Bonds Auth. I emailed XBats and asked in 2007 if he had ordered any, they gave me the order history and number of bats and confirmed it was made for him for game use. It was a good experiance.

I'm amazed that a company can exist with such a piss poor attitude to the public. I too wish them a swift demise and know that I will not be buying another X bat unless it is personally handed to me from the actual player and that is after I tell the player what a bunch of hapless losers they are!

I paid about $140.00 shipped for an Eric Gagne X-Bat and it actually has one discernible ball mark and some rack marks and such. I was just merely trying to get a time line to attempt to photo-match and got a bunch of attitude from some obviously person who either hates his job or those who collect GU, or both.

Yes, it's scary that they would offer the General Public Player Model bats that for what they tell you on their website are exactly the same....
