Picked up this great Jack Clark bat gamer from Scott Sweet @gamebats...
Interesting model - D123...fat handle, long shaft and big barrel. Knob is almost non-existent. It is an 85-89 bat, and it has the typical red paint on it that most Cards bats have from the Old Busch batbox...not 100% though.
It looks like there was some tape around the barrel at some point, so it was likely a BP bat, but Oh well - I loved Clark as a kid, and for the price it was god for me - filled a big hole in my collection.

Picked up these Harris Barton 49ers game used cleats... can anyone explain the odd bottoms of the cleats?
Also, does anyone have any suggestions on removing the writing on the shoes?

beavisrules- Thanks for the compliment and the info on jerseys- very helpful! I am hoping to photomatch the Tom Z. jersey if there are enough marks/wear on it.
I am interested in any game used items from ND players (pro or college) but some of my favorites are Chris Zorich, Rickey Watters, Reggie Brooks, Tom Carter, Todd Lyghtt, Rocket Ismail, Jeff Sam. and Jerome Bettis.
I have some ND stuff I might move like a game-breaker collage signed by Tim Brown and Rocket and some Anthony Johnson game used shoes from his time with the Colts. Let me know what you are looking for and I will let you know what I find. Feel free to e-mail me at gregguy@hotmail.com

I do not believe Notre Dame is currently recycling jerseys given the fact that they are so active in selling them these days. I bet the jersey you got was used in 2006, and the auction listing it as 2007 was a mistake. Frankly, I think the CSTV auction listings leave a LOT to be desired, so mistakes like that would not surprise me. However, ND did recycle jerseys as recently as early 2000 for sure, and may still - but I don't think it is as likely now.[/quote]
yeah i didnt say Notre Dame is recycling the 2006 jerseys for 2007 season, and what i was trying to say is that the title on cstv auction was wrong and i got the 2006 #49 jersey, i was glad it was notre dame 2006 jersey.....not the 2007 jersey !beavisrules, you are right they do make mistake on cstv auctions and i was also surprised that steiners sent notre dame game jerseys to cstv and they went really lower than what they listed on the steiners.com or steiners auction.
