Talk about grabbing the best of the best jerseys from recent ND stars - Zibby and the Shark. Nice work. If you have a specific want list of ND stuff, let me know, and I'll keep you posted if I come across any of the stuff. Alternatively, if you decide to move stuff, let me know (I saw your Bobby Taylor Eagles listed in the for sale section, and was tempted).

As for your other question, my understanding (I don't know this for a fact) is that they previously issued 2 home and 2 away in each mesh style (aka they used to use an open mesh weave and a micro or closed mesh weave when they had champion jerseys). However, given the fact that the university is actively selling jerseys now through both Steiner and CSTV, I would not be surprised if more exist for each player (maybe 3 home, 3 away + special issues like the green). Also, I think the players can buy at least one of their home jerseys (I believe the seniors are still given one of their home jerseys), and I know they get their bowl jerseys to keep (at least they have in recent past).

I do not believe Notre Dame is currently recycling jerseys given the fact that they are so active in selling them these days. I bet the jersey you got was used in 2006, and the auction listing it as 2007 was a mistake. Frankly, I think the CSTV auction listings leave a LOT to be desired, so mistakes like that would not surprise me. However, ND did recycle jerseys as recently as early 2000 for sure, and may still - but I don't think it is as likely now.

So that brings me to a quick ND question- how many jerseys does each player go through in a given year? Anybody know?

that is the reason why i mentioned that the jersey could be from 2006 because i won a ND #49 blue jersey from cstv auction and it was titled as notre dame game used 2007 #49 blue jersey. but it was tagged 06-42. I would think the notre dame fans will rather the 2006 ND jerseys than 2007 ND jerseys

Thanks! I have not received it yet, auction just closed a couple days ago. While I paid more than I would have liked it was a lot less than the $2500 for the away jersey from steiner!!! I will post pics of wear when I receive the jersey- based on how he plays I am hoping for a lot of good wear on it! I also have a Jeff Samardzija 2006 away jersey (steiner) and a bunch of autographed stuff (2006 Team Helmet and tons of pics).

Can you take a photo of the cigarette pouch? I didn't even know jerseys were designed like that? Did a lot of people who played ball smoke as well? IDK, but I thought ballplayers just used spit tobacco, not cigarettes.

Andres Gallaraga Cards bat...circa 1992 Worth. Picked up locally in the STL area. Very excited about this one. Great red bat rack streaks, ball marks - slight deadwood and uncracked. Wish we had him longer than one season.

Picked up a 1983 (World Champions) home top of Cal Ripken Sr. (with cigarette pouch)..Will go nicely with my Ripken Sr. '83 road (which was worn in the WS vs. Philadelphia)

Glad to see another ND collector on the board. The member named "genius" also has posted some nice ND items in the past, especially his vintage 1980s jersey from the Faust era.
