Re: May 2014 "Pick-Ups" Thread
Hank Aaron 714th HR game used baseball -
Used on Opening Day in Riverfront Stadium - Cincinnati (April 4th, 1974), so sort of a Big Red Machine collection item, but more importantly the game when Hank Aaron hit his record tying 714th home run in his first at-bat of the season.
Hank Aaron, to me, is the true Home Run King.

'65-'68 Roberto Clemente bat:
I was able to check this bat out in person and was really impressed with the amount of use that it showed. And I've been wanting to reacquire a bat of this Pittsburgh legend, both because of the type of on-field player he was and also his humanitarian efforts off the field. He may be the most influential hispanic player from that time period in overall impact.

Career baseball #1798, Thursday evening, a Derek Jeter BP foul ball that hit the security guard's toll and came to rest a few feet away from the wall, far enough out of reach so that I was the only fan who could reach it while remaining in the stands
