He's been using them in games all season. We just got his first "regular season" order for him last week.

Posada is a creature of habit and superstition. So I bet he is going back to his old bats when he was hitting better.

He has been slumping bad, I bet that's why he wants to go back to his regular bats.

BMH did he order the usual model or is he trying something different?

Kylehess, Posada started using Maruccis for Batting Practice I believe in 2009

You can add a whole new dimension to this thread by considering the jerseys that were recycled from a given season to the next year's spring training. One example to start: 1981 Cubs home and road #23 Jim Tracy, size 42 at the time. Leave the home intact, change the NOB on the back of the road, and the results are Ryne Sandberg's first Cubs jerseys (1982 ST). Sandberg can be seen wearing the road jersey on his 1983 Fleer and Donruss cards.

Posada doesn't even use Marucci's. Where could this bat have come from? And how did Omar get it?

Mickey Mantle used Joe Pepitones bat for his 565 foot homer and its in the hall of fame

Actually when Mantle used Pepitone's bat, it was Mantle's 500th homerun.

I didn't even think about it last night, but Posada was using a Marucci bat last night vs the Red Sox.

It is a Melky Cabrera MC53 Custom Cut. The tape job on the handle has matched a couple of bats that Melky and Omar have been using this year. Melky must have brought them with him like the Cano SSK he used and was sold earlier this year. Jorge might have had some samples given to him that he gave away. NICE PHOTO!
