[quote=xpress34;279858]Mook - I believe you are correct. He played in a day game and was traded mid way through and arrived in time to play in his new teams night game that night. I would need to look up the specifics...
Anyway, It appears my video did not load, so here's a link to it of Parrish signing and talking to me...

Youngblood played for the Mets, got a hit, was traded to the Expos and got a hit for them. Or, vice versa on the teams.Leave a comment:

[quote=earlywynnfan;280060]Do you live in Cleveland, or just a fan?
I live an hour outside Cleveland, so basically, yes I do live in CLE. And yes, a huge Indians and Browns fan! Sometimes it is tough but I will always have my heart with my CLE sports teams. Are you from CLE?Leave a comment:

Besides Darrell Evans Larry Parrish was a hugely underatted player..I was so close to buying a 1983 Rangers home white gamer of his off ebay a couple years back. By the way Darrell Evans is an awesome dude Ive met him a couple times in Palm Springs where he coaches for the Semi Pro" "Chill"
Growing up in Dallas, Larry was my guy... standing straight up at the plate and literally 'lowering the boom'....
I finally got to meet him last year when the Braves were here against the Rockies - I picked up a BEAUTIFUL GU 1976 (BiCentennial) Bat from Ben (gorilla777) that Larry graciously signed for me.
I've met a TON of guys over the years having worked for Nike and Rawlings (Pujols, Nolan Ryan, LaRussa, Lasorda, Jeter, McGwire, etc) and I was never as nervous as I was when I finally met my childhood idol.
Here's a little known fact about Parrish - he holds a MLB record - ONLY player to hit two grand slams in the same week... in BOTH Leagues. Did it with Montreal and with Texas.
Here's a video my wife took:
