    Al Kaline

I got to meet him last year at the National. It made me feel like a kid again. I've met a bunch of greats from that time in baseball and got all the signatures on baseballs as a kid, but this one by far was the best experience for me. It's probably because, as a kid, you don't really know how to appreciate the experience at the time.

I nominate myself for worst answer with Hines Ward as my #4 player. I obviously did not read the tag line carefully enough.

    Mark David McGwire
Been watching my highlight dvd's of him from 96'
    the last few nights.

current fav piece- a bat that he used while i was in attendance at yankee stadium in 1993. What it makes it even better is he used the bat to hit 2 HR's
the night before and would go on to hit 2 more with it in Boston 2 days later.

    Willie Stargell, hands down.

    Then:

    2) Roberto Clemente
    3) Tony Pena
    4) Eric Chavez
    5) Andrew McCutchen

And yes I am a Buccos fan (born and reared within 30 minutes of the 'Burg until my late 20s).

So why Stuart? Personally, I love the cult classics. Have you seen any baseballs signed with "Dr. Strangeglove?" I'd love to have one, but I know he hated that nickname.
