    Carlie,
Bob wanted to paid sooner so he went to the next buyer. That was me.
I offered him $625 ,no I'm sorry, he said $625 and it is yours in writing. Not verbally, I have the e-mail. He then did not honor the deal. I would have paid the $1150 except I saw him offer it to Chris for $625 and then to me right after because of his integrity. I sent him the money. He then went back on the deal. I'm confused. Why should he keep his head up???

man it's all about poor ol bob. what about poor o'l zonker. he lost a friend a canseco world series gamer! excuse me 2 world series bat's a canseco and the mac! and ended up with (&$%#@) !!! would have never sold the canseco for what i paid for it if 350.00 if i hadn't had total trust in the deal going through! i also am a little upset that rob or chris hasn't chimed in as all i wanted from the get go with bringing this out is that i felt a rule or some kind change of policy for useing the for sale section needed to be addressed or put in place. so this wouldn't happen again, cause belive me if they don't it will. if bob was going to auction it he should have sent it in and sold it through g.u.u. spring auction. but if you set a price on this board and the seller and buyer agree on it . then they should be held responsible to carry out the transaction or be banned from useing the for sale section. just like the poor sucker's that didn't pay during the last auction. aren't they banned from ever partisipating in another g.u.u. auction? and if so why the double standard guy's? let me guess cause your money wasn't involved?

I can't speak for the mods. All I can say is that they brought back the for sale section for all those that insisted and complained that it be brought back. They did not want to bring it back until they were ready with their new program. This situation is exactly one of the reasons they wanted to wait in my opinion.

Re: McGwire 88 World Series Bat

I read this morning some personal emails from Chris, and I have answered them. I think he still feels I sold the bat for a higher amount, even though the bat sits in my basement in a box that was designated for shipment before I decided to keep it. Everything else has been explained previously, and as the owner of the bat I decided to keep it. If in the future I decide to sell it I will go thru ebay. At this point reading Chris' emails of this morning I don't see the matter clearing up as he still feels I no longer have it. Whatever.

Like I said last night, Chris and I did a deal a year ago for a jersey and we did installments. Everything went great. I am doing a jersey deal with another forum member RIGHT NOW and I am letting him pay over time as well - unlimited time. I have been here 3 years and I feel established great relationships. There has been no money missing, etc.

As for an earlier post by Mike, it may surprise you to learn I am happy you are in a position to place guys in front row seats and live well. I am happy for anyone who flourishes in the economy. I myself am laid off as a carpenter and am doing my second job working with special needs kids doing testing. Does not pay well, but I enjoy it and it keeps me busy. You may think of me as broke, but that is all in one's perspective. I am alive and healthy, my family is well, and despite reading this thread I have great friendships. You can sit there and sling mud all day at me, but don't do it to thers - it isn't called for. That is about the only reason for this post. Beyond this, I see nothing different than from the beginning - with exception to alot of pissed off people. Chris, you email anytime, or call me and I'd be happy to talk about collecting or the weather - your choice. I consider the matter closed.
