Once again, I think this posts needs to be removed. He keeps inferring that my merchandise is being sold for the purpose of fraud. **comment removed**
Really, you cannot sell 2000s game used Yankees jerseys on eBay without Steiner paperwork, so these points are impossible. There are honest people in this world - You can't continually state that everyone is a crook.

Rudy, common, drop the Smith & Wesson comments, really you are comparing apples and chocolate milk.

Here, have my analogy: I just bought a Mitchell & Ness Gordie Howe jersey for myself. If the seller told me they had marked the inside tags of the jersey with a marker so I don't alter the jersey, I would have never bought it.

The worst part of this whole debate is I had never thought anyone would use these jerseys fraudulently because everyone knows Steiner has all the game used Yankees jerseys from 2000 to present. This should be a no-issue.

As for my pricing, Steiner has lowered their prices as time has gone by, as they found their merchandise was not selling at their original pricing. Needless to say, one item has been found cheaper - Jorge Posada, which I will gladly discount if anyone wants this player. Otherwise, who cares? My merchandise, my prices. No harm, no foul.

      Happy Holidays!

        2 things-
        1) Joel has not faked anything so there's a big difference between his situation and the one I "cried like a baby" about.

        2) Smart idea to make attack the moderator.

Even though once again they violate the rules of the forum, I'm not editing your comments above because I'd like people to see what you had to say

          Joel,

You're both hilarious and odd at the same time.
Fisher Price sells toys. They put safety features on toys to prevent choking. All I'm talking about is a safety feature to prevent fraud.
Actually here's an even better example (other than the obvious one of Barry Meisel which you ignored). Powell-Peralta makes skateboards. They've made skateboards since the 80's. Currently, vintage skateboards are extremely collectible and pricey. A mint 1983 Tony Hawk Powell-Peralta skateboard will easily run you $4000. Powell-Peralta got wise to the market and started to produce "re-issued classics". On every single one they stamped "RE-ISSUE" to prevent people passing them off as pricey originals.

You bring up the fact that you wouldn't have bought your Mitchell & Ness replica if it was marked. Newsflash Joel: that huge Mitchel & Ness patch on your jersey means it's obviously a replica. It was indeed "marked". You intentionally purchased a jersey that was blatantly tagged as a replica. Don't want to mark your jerseys? Ok, sew a big tag on them like Mitchell & Ness that says "Replica". After all, you bought one so you must be ok with that.

"I had never thought anyone would use these jerseys fraudulently because everyone knows Steiner has all the game used Yankees jerseys from 2000 to present. This should be a no-issue."

Joel stop it. You've seen the Ebay masses. You think they all know about Steiner's arrangement with the Yankees? For petes sake Joel, they buy "Babe Ruth" signed baseballs for $60!!!

Joel just end this thread already. You've stated the conclusion: you won't help prevent fraud because you don't want to lose sales. End of story.

          Rudy.

            Eric,

I agree that Joel has not faked anything. Let me ask you though: Wouldn't it have saved you a lot of grief if that fake jersey that you bought had had "PC" written on the tag by the original owner?

eric, whats the BIG differance? just cause joey didnt make them, its ok to pass them off later as game worn or issued, just like you got ripped off? i dont see how you can be sympathetic to this blatant end around. and secondly i cant "attack" the moderator when you made so many posts about your purchases of game cuts as game worn. didnt you want to warm others? im not attacking you, just your blind eye to the future. sheesh how can you think this is good for the "GAME WORN COMMUNITY" i wonder what will come up next with this dealers. i am relatively quite on this board but this is outrageous, just to make a buck.

Rudy, you should see me at the poker table. I have been told too many times I should be playing tournaments to get television exposure as I would be one of the most popular players in the game. For some reason, I prefer to play the live cash games. Anyone want to back me? I'll concentrate on major tournaments next year if I find a backer.
